the Troll King: Great fun, wonderful to role-play, good characters, a fun variety of recruits to choose from, gathering herbs is fun, nice mix of tiny stealthy goblins and big asskickers allows for great mix of strategies, having no access to the standard bag of "spearmen" and "archers" (which get bland after a while) makes it most unique - fie fi fo fum!
Ditto the Warlock - kept getting wiped out by deer before I could find any gems worthy of anything. I have had slightly less fun and success with the High Priestess and the Enchanter, but I'm not really sure why, I guess i just never got enough resources to ever have done anything with them. So far, I have enjoyed almost all of the factions I have played.
