Stated on the show, Pia Hamilton brought some of her own Filipino heritage into the role of Min, who was originally written to be Chinese. Hamilton currently owns a dance studio in Chicago, and she teaches there, a job her character, Min, showed interest in way back in those episodes, " When I Grow Up." and " Grown-Ups For A Day!".Īccording to Hamilton's dance website, she is married to Dustin Hamilton. In the next year, Hamilton joined former cast members, Brian Eppes, Lauren King, Hope Cervantes, and Kurt Dykhuizen, in reuniting with their purple-colored dinosaur friend, Barney, in " Sing and Dance with Barney". 
Then, two years later, Hamilton played Meebeedeep's Robot in " Barney in Outer Space". She left the show in 1996, after doing " Barney's Fun & Games". She was 9 years old when she began working on the show. In the place of the Adam character, she auditioned for Barney & Friends in 1991 and got the role of Min. In addition, she was a fan of the Barney & The Backyard Gang videos. Hamilton became interested with acting and dancing at a very young age. Pia Hamilton was born in the Texan city to Filipino immigrant parents, Bernardino and Julie Manalo, and she has two sisters, Patricia and Bernadette.
